Y'all I'm scared as fuck, there is a ginormous fire happening at the moment and it's getting closer and closer to where I live. It's already burnt over 28,000 hectares. The wind is disgusting and VERY fast paced and it's over 42° hot. I have a 3yo son plus my fiancé. We have 10 horses, 3 dogs, 1 cat and a ferret. Our float (trailer to Americans?) is only a 2HAL. A ton of assets, valuables. I'm freaking the fuck out !! 😭😭😖😖 |

Do you have a plan if the fire comes? Having a plan will help you feel better. Set the animals free if you can't take them with you. Fires are no joke. Please stay safe! |

Worse case scenario, paint your number on your animals / attach info tags to their manes, take pictures of them, and set them loose. Create a game plan on what routes you can take to evacuate, and what your destination is. Go ahead and pack essentials into your vehicle, include non perishables and water! Also, text a relative or friend what your decided route is and let them know when/if you evacuate, and keep them informed. |

If you have ANY friends or people willing to help, take that chance, if the fire comes and you don't want to release the animals. For your son and fiance (and you!) I'd just say to be as prepared as possible with the essentials. |
