I had a dream last night and wrote a poem about it, wanted to share it with you guys :P its kinda long and a little stupid

dancing in the summer breeze
leaving me so far behind
trapped in the walls of forgotten memories
clinging onto dreams, never true
they seemed so real before
now you have forgotten
of shared joy we once held
so gently in our palm together
now broken and old
collection dust on the shelf
just out of reach
as i search endlessly
for the love once held
in your eyes for me
now belongs to another
you leave me now
no longer new
broken as you laugh with anew
chipping away at the bond
once shared between us
protected and held
tight to your chest like a child
like a child you made me feel
with whispers and promises of love
you said you would never leave
you said would be true for only me
now forgotten
as i watch you walk away
into another´s arms not like mine
tell me
do they hold you tight like mine did
do they protect you
like i protected you
holding you close at night
as we share secrets
secrets that now seem meaningless without you
whispers lost in the wind
lost to time as you let them fly by
like they meant nothing
