Hi I have a pony mare I got with a 6m foal the end of last year. She is 5y going on 6y and this is her third foal. I got her and foal with intentions of kids pony and cart pony once kids are to big to ride. I've watched mares foal before and raised my own pony colt when I was younger but I'm boarded at a barn with people who have little clue about ponies and just as much clue about foaling. The mare had no complications with last 2 foals. My problem is we already had one person who almost called the vet for her and we can't do that many vet bills but I'm in a barn where they call owner last. Mare is not due till March/April of this year by dates that I was told and I could figure out online. Oh and the mare was a pasture pony so they only ever roped her to catch her so she is skittish of strangers so also worried they will stress her come time for foaling and cause problems. We have been working with her but she is definitely still skittish and touchy. I thought of putting a note up but I have no clue how to word it. Any advice would be great as I'd rather have the money for a true vet visit and not a fellow barn persons panic. And yes we talked to barn owner but her memory is a bit not there after having a bad head injury. Please and thank you. (Sorry don't know how to post pictures) for those looking to see what she looks like lol

Dont worry about first post we are sorting it out lol. So February 17 we have the vet coming out that specializes in pregnant mares. He will be giving her her last vaccines (Lil worried as mare has never had any) and doing a possible ultrasound though at this point not much need as her belly is getting buldgy and my mom swears she's seen foal kicking. I have a feeling even with handling her she will not let anyone in the stall once foal has arrived. This will be her 3rd foal and she is just turning 6 (she will have no more foals as long as we own her lol) Dot her baby is a awesome Lil one I've been working with her and can rub her all over with no attitude and is good with walking her up to the car for boys to pet (got too cold for them and they wanted to see their ponies) Twila once caught will allow nose pets but I'm a little more hesitant with her as she's extremely jumpy. I was thinking of holding a contest or 2 when it's closer to her delivering. One for gender and one for guessing due date lol. Barn is due to have a second foal the begaining of April but she being sent to the vet.
