I'm looking for some advice in showing. Me and my gelding are competing in the biggest competition in showing in our town. I've competed there once before about 4 years ago but never on this horse. I'm in need of some advice for the prep leading up to it and for tips while in the ring itself. A little about my horse: - He's a 10 year old
- Stands at about 17.2hh
- Thoroughbred
- He has experiance competing in dressage up to Prelim but never showing
- He has massive trot strides
- Good in frame
A little about me: - I've been riding for 5 years
- This will be my second time competing in showing
- I struggle with rising erratically in trot
- My saddle pushes my lower leg forward
- I struggle with anxiety while competing
My horse, Prince, is busy recovering from a hoof injury and hasn't been ridden for 2 weeks. Hopefully he can be brought back into work next week. Some of the questions i have are: "What are the judges looking for" "What can i do for my lower leg" "How do i keep him and myself calm" etc. Anything at all is appreaciated <3
