Im looking for a book I saw as a little kid, I was to young to read at the time so have no idea of the story

The book I saw was a hard cover linnen bound book with a wood cut picture of a young girl in 1880s fashion on the front & had lots of other woodcuts of a similar nature scattered throughout

Im not sure i remember the title but I believe it was "Emily", neither do I remember the author at all

It was definitely a vintage kind of book

Would it be "Emily of New Moon", I just did a quick google search and found something similar to your description.

I looked it up & didn't find what I was looking for

Do you have a year when you saw it? It would be helpful to narrow down better

I remember this book from my childhood click but it is the finnish version, I think this is the same as E.T Eventing suggested

It would have been around the early early 2000s

The book looked like it was 100 yrs old

The story was set around 1880 & I believe it was a "contemporary" story

When I was young my parents had several of those types of books in our home

I have asked my mother about it & she can't remember that specific book

Could it have been a copy of Emma by Jane Austen? It has had several different covers and illustrated versions
