A rather long-awaited custom for Lunareth Vale, inspired loosely by The Last Unicorn. This one took me for a bit of a ride with making the composition work (especially with the background merge) but I'm quite chuffed with how it turned out in the end. So yall know the contest entry sneak peak I posted over a month ago? Whose due date got extended twice? Yeah, so I still ended up scrambling tonight to finish it in time lmao. The background is suuuper scrappy and will definitely get some extra love afterwards, but it ws fun trying a more painterly style (though I wish I'd experimented under a bit less time pressure) For my fellow Epic nerds out there, it's heavily inspired by the Cyclops Saga but specifically Remember Them (the ghost horse things are his fallen comrades) I realised too deep into the composition that Ody didn't use a spear, but oh welll.
