No. lol. I used to work in a meat processing plant. We had layers upon layers. A cotton glove. A cut resistant glove. A chainmail glove. And a nitrile glove. Our sleeves were supposed to be trapped under the gloves. Or we used plastic sleeves over it all to keep them in place.

I`m not the best at giving advice, so I won`t be doing that, xd. However, for a first attempt that is not bad at all! I think you did an absolutely spectacular job for a first time, ^^

This is a great piece! The only addition I'd say it needs is a shadow. Overall, well done!
Thank you both! I'm really pleased with it, feels a bit cheat-y to work in full grayscale but it's been a really good learning exercise xD
Will add a shadow and mess around with it a little more!

I would really love to get opinions on this. What are things I could try to make future things better? Also, there are so many pretty ponies in this game that I want to buy, so what would a piece like this be worth?
Also, random question. When someone says "all cuts available" does that just mean sizing it down to fit a horse avatar or profile pic or something? There's some lingo I'm trying to learn haha.

The image won't load in for some reason so here's a link :)

My newest art attempt. I'm new to the HEE crowd, but I'm really liking it so far. I do a lot of traditional art and model horse painting IRL, so this has been a lot of fun learning something new.

Holy cow! this is awsome for just starting out, the hair is amazing ( give me your brushes used... or else.. xD ) and I really like the whole vibe of this piece, only thing I'd say is maybe add a little shine to the eye, otherwise this is great! I'd sell it for around 100k but I'm not the best at pricing, also to answer your question, yes, all cuts is just sizing down like you said. <3

This is really good for just starting out!
My advice is to work on the smudging a bit more. Follow the muscle contours, especially in the neck. If you're in PS, I usually do my smudging on 25-35% and have my hardness at 0% so things blend a bit better.
Also, I would blur the background behind the horse to make the horse stand out and draw your eye towards the horse.
I agree with Crescent, though, your hair is really good for a starting piece!
I'd probably charge 50-100k right now, and then increase as you get more practice :)
All cuts to me is a full-piece, horse avi, stable avi, and banner. If someone requests a palatte cut, I'll make it, too.

Thank you so much!! I like your idea of making the eye brighter, so I'll definitely do that. For brushes I use IbisPaintX and it's just the regular dip pen, round brush, and then the airbrush <3 As a irl realism artist the hailing was easier for me, I'm not so used to all of these blending brushes and techniques quite yet xD

Thank you!! I totally agree with the smudging, that was where I had the most issue. I think I need to do a piece with a little less shadows to make understanding the lighting techniques a little easier. Also yes I will totally blur the BG a bit, great idea!! <3

My biggest suggestion is to use a high-quality horse image to start out so you can really see the muscles and the contour, and practice the smudging from there!
Also if I ever struggle with a particular neck/shoulder muscle and getting the smudging right, I drape the mane over it to hide it ;)

I love this, super cute! The first thing I notice is there is no shadow under the umbrella and horse, I think that would be a super nice touch. I'd probably draw a black shadow, fill it in then lower the opacity of the layer or duplicate the horse and umbrella then flip it, position it, make black in the settings then lower the opacity :)
