Is this better?? Tried making the mane look fuller and tried to get it more ghosty :D @Cain
I love the idea of this piece! The only thing that really jumps out at me is the hair. It seems almost too messy/blocky? Try lowering the opacity of your brush to about 75% while drawing hair to make it look a bit more realistic ;) Great shadow and body prep!! @Gem

@Breezie Hadn't quite gotten there yet, that was one of the things I needed to 'touch up' 😉😊 MUCH more ghosty! Huge improvement. I see you just using a gray airbrush to try to add volume to the mane though.... 😏 . @Cain Definitely agree with Breezie on the hair. Even just using decreasingly smaller strands would add a huge boost :) Very unique perspective, thumbs up there. The lighting is the only other thing that throws me off though. The highlights on the horse are not quite reflective of the sunlight beaming down. It took me a minute to figure out that the horse was underwater as opposed to just jumping off a cliff. Maybe add some bubbles to show movement from the legs. Very cool concept <3 |

Really cute work. Great job on the reflection and water ripples, those are amazing. The biggest standout to me that separates this from T1 and T2 is the lighting of both the horse and narwhal do not match the background at all. There is a high defined light point behind the horse, and there are no definitive shadows or highlights on the horse or the narwhal. On the horse, the highlights would be very strong on the side that isn't showing. Darken the body, and lighten the edges that are facing the sun. The narwhal would have more shading as he's hidden in the darker part of the shadows, but he'd also still have stronger highlights on the face and spine. To match your style, I'd say the background needs a bit of work to match the overall feel of the image - you have this fuzzy, adorable painted feel, and the background is very sharp and crisp. Blur the background a bit, and soften the foreground. :)
