Oml. This needs a lot of work...

This is looks so good so far! :D

I recommend making the wings larger. It would take a lot to actually get a horse into the air. Keep in mind, if a person had wings, they would have to be 21 ft. across.

The mane and tail are lovely! I do recommend adding flyaways will a smaller brush. Make sure as well to heavily highlight the mane and tail. Mane hairs are much courser and have a lot more surface area for light to reflect off of so manes and tails will generally have lots of highlights.

The pink in the clouds will be a very good indicator of the mood of the piece. Shadows and highlights will take on that pink to blue-ish pink hue. To merge horses into an image, I'll take a Rough Watercolor brush on 1-2% Opacity on a Soft Light layer and go over the whole piece with it. Making sure that pink light goes over the horse and the left of the image, then that blue-ish pink on the right. Concentrate on fading those shadows a bit with this layer too!

All in all, the piece though is beautiful! I really can't wait to see the final product! :D

The customer ordered small wings so I'll ask if they would like them bigger. Thank you though and will do!

You're very welcome! If going for a smaller wing, could you try hummingbird? It may help make it look a little more natural. ^^

Looking great so far!
I will say, it seems a little flat(?) in a way, but adding a few highlight strands in a smaller, almost white brush to make it look alive!

I would add a slight orange tint to the horse to make it blend it better. Also don't forget the shadow and eyes! Also to make recoloring easier, you can put the layer above the horse on clipping

@Jumper
I'm not sure the part to focus on is really the red tint. The red tint caused your black sabino horse to now look mahogany bay sabinoish. I would worry more about lighting. The dunes/mountains in the background have very strong shadows and highlights. Use these as reference to place matching shadows and highlights on the horse. Then play around with adding a layer on color blending mode to tint the horse. Secondly, I can see that you tried to hide the feet, lol. Personally, I don't think grass is the way to go in this piece. You're better off using a cloud of dust just due to the horse's surroundings. Mild curiouslity, what is the story behind the dog??
