Gem said: @CC I think this may be one of your best pieces yet! Super cool piece, love the atmosphere. Yeah, shadows would be my main critique. Shadow of the horse on the ground. Shadow of the collar on the horse. Shadow of the necklace on the collar and horse. I can tell that you used an effect on the horse that replicated the horse somewhat in yellow and blue. I don't feel this really fits the piece but I understand if you are unable to undo it. Lastly, take a look at the face. Currently, there are two semi random lighter splotches. Take a look at some photos of horses and see if you can get the correct facial shadows and highlights. Good luck!
Awesome! Thank you so much! I'll definitely be keeping those in mind! :D

@Jumper I think that went amazing!!!! Beautiful job!! Just a few things to touch up. First, there is a random white spot on the (viewer's right, horse's left) front leg. See if you can color over it or erase it depending on what it is ;D Second, I like that you tried to give the horse a shadow. That's really important. The issue is with the type of lighting in the background image, the shadow would be less defined and more underneath the horse (a dark blob, almost). I don't feel like the horse and the fox quite have the same lighting. The fox seems much lighter compared to the horse. Lastly, add at least a reflection to the eye. Horse's eyes are not entirely black. Like human eyes, they have a strip of color (the iris) which would be a great addition to this piece. For the reflection, I reccomend a very small (1 px MAX) white brush and just due a teeny tiny little squiggle towards the top of the eye. Would totally steal this piece if I could. Hope this helps!

@Jumper Lol! The brightness of the horse really depends on taste. If you're going for a more realistic piece, then yes the horse should be darker. In my opinion, it's current flightless does work and helps the horse to stand out really nicely. @CC Broken link

@CC Definitely going to second Royal on this one. That piece is amazing!!! Just a couple tiny things to touch up. First off, looking at the back legs. I would recommend adding some sort of splash just to add movement and realism. Second, the front (viewer's right, horse's left) hoof. I think you may have tried to make it partially underwater but I'm my opinion, realistically, it would be fully out of water and fully visible. Keep up the wonderful work!!
