It's awesome! But the hooves and coral aren't really blended, so it kind of looks like you just slapped it on there. The horse is gorgeous though! Maybe just try to blend all of it a little more, and maybe do a little more shading with the underwater gear, etc.

@Breezie Rhis piece is really cute! Love the idea. I will agree with Toasty abo it the hooves, lighting wise. They could be significantly darker just by looking at the highlights and the shadows on the coral. Same with the rest of the horse. Lighting needs a little bit of work. Love the eyes and the craziness of the hair. Only other thing I can say is to work on the realism of the air tank and the strap. Doesn't quite fit with the background and the horse: . @Cel I feel like you may have tried to cover up the feet a bit in this piece, lol. In my opinion, the lighting and the body prep look very nice. Unique hair. I would reccomend gocing the horse a very slight lighter outline just to help distinguish it from the background.

Breezie, I think it looks great! Here are just a few things I notice: -the tail is being coverd by a strangely thick and sharp edged fog lol I would soften that part a bit and also soften the edge with either a blur tool or a soft eraser at a very low opacity with a wide range - the hooves haveth disapeareth ;o; the one lifted hoof is fine, but i would try to emphasize the existence of the other three by showing at least fragments of them if they are being covered by the rocks or stones. a mere coronet band and some soft hoof visibility would be perfect! - i feel like there is no light source. so, since this lovely being is a unicorn and looks like its performing some sort of magic on the water, why not add some shining light to emphasize a wonderous magic that could be happening! Make the water glow, the horn glow slightly with some sperkles and then touch up with some lighting contors on the horses body/limbs/locks to make it pop!! And heck if you wanna go the extra mile, make the glowy water reflect off the fog and lighten the ofg in some areas as well. Make it Magical!! Other than that it looks 👌

@Breezie Agree with Cap. My only thing to add is the purple ear. Is that intentional? Other than that, that piece is absolutely amazing!!!!

This is my part of a trade I did. I tried something new with the glowing chains, and colored a greyscale over the body although you can't really tell. Any tips for improvement(s)?

@Caaldir This piece is really cool and unique. I can tell that there is a story behind it. The chains themselves look really nice. The fact that they are glowing means that they should be highlighting the horse slightly. You have that on most of the horse but the part that caught my eye was where it is coming form behind the back legs (feel free to ask if you have no clue what I'm talking about, lol). Second thing that caught my attention is the lack of an ear. I do feel like the viewer should at preset have a faint outline of where the ear is. Lastly, looking at the rear front leg, (horse's right, viewer's left). The end of the white marking doesn't seem to stay on the horse's leg. Feel free to let me know if you need any clarification <3

@CC I think this may be one of your best pieces yet! Super cool piece, love the atmosphere. Yeah, shadows would be my main critique. Shadow of the horse on the ground. Shadow of the collar on the horse. Shadow of the necklace on the collar and horse. I can tell that you used an effect on the horse that replicated the horse somewhat in yellow and blue. I don't feel this really fits the piece but I understand if you are unable to undo it. Lastly, take a look at the face. Currently, there are two semi random lighter splotches. Take a look at some photos of horses and see if you can get the correct facial shadows and highlights. Good luck!
