Gem said: @Jumper That hair turned out nicely! White markings-wise, I reccomend first adding a new layer. Make it a clipping layer to the horse's layer. Use a white brush to draw out the markings you want on the horse When you're satisfied with that, change the markings layer to Soft Light. Duplicate the layer and/or mess with the opacity of it until satisfied with the brightness of the markings. . @SDK This piece needs a bit of lighting work. I can tell that in the orginal photo of the foal, the sun was shining on its left (the viewer's right). In this image though, the sun should be shining on its rump and back from behind. Use overlay layers to help get the highlights where they should be and use darker shades to overall get the shadows. I can tell that you lowered the contrast of the foal to try to get it to blend but doing that detracts from the definition of the foal itself. Increase the contrast and the saturation of the foal to help it blend better. Last thing, the foal should have a shadow coming towards the viewer due to the direction of the sun. . @Wintergreen If you ever decide to sell/auction this piece, please let me know. I love, LOVE it!!! Beautiful mane, very smooth body prep. Only thing I'd say is give it a shadow because there is a vsible light source.
Thank you Gem! I wish I still had the fully layered file so I could try your suggestions! But I'm going to apply this to a new piece and see if I can recreate to the best of my abilities!

@SDK The first thing I noticed was how hard it was to notice the second foal. This can be fixed by adding a very thin lighter outline around it and it's wings. Also, where is its other wing? Finally, the reflection currently looks like they are standing on something. Try flattening the reflections.

@Gem, reflection was flattened and warped. The second wing is behind the first as if it was tucked up, thats why there is an excess section of wing above the tail. How would you go about outlining on the second foal?

Ah, I see the wing now. Putting, use a very small, soft brush in white or light blue and trace the outline of the foal and it's wing. Now that I see the tail, it looks kind of like it's coming from the middle of the horse's back... is there a way to move it? Super cute idea by the way :)
