Hi! I am Journie, you may have seen me around HEE in the roleplaying forums and chat from time to time. I am currently broke. That, and I've been wanting to get into digital art for a while! I have just started putting a few of my pieces out for auction, but I'd love to hear some suggestions as to what teir of art I'd be most considered. I do know that I have a lot to work on so any comments are welcome, just looking for a bit of help <3 A few example pieces down below.

Hi!! Depending on how confident you are with more complex pieces, like large white markings without losing underlying detail, adding fantasy markings, horns, light fantasy elements, id say high T4- low T3. Your hair has nice flow already, but its very flat and lacks actual hairs and light/shadows. Also the horse stock seems blurry, and especially in the top one, not super confidentally cut out, especially around the hindquarters. Take your time, draw from the elbow and shoulder(not the wrist) and just practice with more confident brush strokes. I love the tail in the third one, but the hair is very flat and the lighting not very clear. The original bg has very diffused lighting, and it looks like youve added a light source coming from the left, but the background and the light upon the horse doesnt reflect this, same with the glow from the horn. With some more practice with hair details, lighting, patterns, and overall horse clarity, I feel you could move up to high T3/low T2 <3 im on my phone so typing is a pain in the ass, but if youd like more specific advice, PM me! Im always happy to help and give examples<3 i also reccomend checking out HRSs, Eps's, Zomb's, and Willow's tutorials<3 Edited at November 28, 2025 01:46 PM by KPH Equestrian
