I think if you added shadows and light on the actual mane and tail to make them more 3D and if you add shadows cast by the mane and tail on the horse then it will look more natural on the horse. Hope that helps :D |

i would honestly say just add more variation in colors with the strands make sure strands blend out to a thin point but make sure they have a good ammount of shadow in there as well as highlights |

Definition and MOVEMENT! Those all seem very stiff. I don't know what you use to draw with, but if you're using a tablet, let your wrist and hand loosen up as you draw them. Also, DA has some awesome mane and tail tutorials, too, if you haven't checked them out! |

Thank you that helps out a lot (: I do add shadows and highlights. But I think I need to up the opacity more so they show up.

Ahh ok! I get it (: thank you, also I used a mouse and a stabilizer in my program. I am saving up for an iPad though so hopefully that will help my manes to flow better. I definitely need to find some tutorials.
