Hi guys! I could use some art help if you're so obliged. In their finished form, these are supposed to be large-size icons, maybe 250 pizels each, square. I think they need some sort of color or shading to finish out, but I'm a bit stumped on what kind. Flat comic-style coloring? Smoothed shading? And what color? All the same (brown)? Or a bunch of different horse colors? There'll be 20 icons in all. (And yes, I know that's not an actual passage, but I found a reference image of a prancing hackney from that angle and it was just too cute to pass up.) |

I think for the size a flat comic style would be easiest. But you could add a little detail as you wish, just to make a little "pop" Will they all be together? I would say to shoot for a little variety in colors. |

They would be altogether, yes. I think you're right about the comic-shading. Just have to be careful about color picking so they're not vaguely horsey shaped blobs instead of being able to see the lines, I think. |
