If he is growing that fast then it doesn't mater if it is too big. Then you don't have to buy another one as soon

He's growing like a little weed haha, think this might be the end of the 5'3s for him! Might get him a new waterproof fly rug and a 50g to tide him over then reassess for winter. It'll not be long before he's sharing rugs with my mare at this rate!

Need opinions- this rug doesn't look stupidly too big does it? His 5'3 waterproof seems a bit tight on the shoulders so I thought id try the 5'6 I bought on sale for winter and it doesnt actually look too bad? Or does it look huge and I've just gone rug blind? 🤣 Obviously it looks like a dress on him because he's scrawny but length-wise I think I might be buying 5'6 from now on?

I need to buy a glass, a sexed medallion, and loads of filly straws with a few filly embryos. I can't decide if I should focus on the medallion first just incase I don't get enough to get everything by RO or buy the cheaper stuff first

I would say, in this one the mane looks like the fly away hairs were smudged and the base hairs were sharpened. The head looks nice, but it kind of looks like whatever you did to the head, you didn't do the same to the body. Regardless, this is still a very good piece.

I really couldn't find anything to nit-pick on the other pieces. Lol! Great work! <3

I know that feeling! I'd advise, if you're not 'feeling' the vibes don't choose that stock, and if you choose stock that seems hard to work with, choose something else or take your time. Quality is better than quantity. ;D

Receiving art critique helped me lots when I was starting out (and still does)! Art is a constant process of finding your style and the techniques you prefer to use.

On this piece, the shining eye and the golden overlay on the horse's face contradict each other. If the eye is glowing, the horse's high points on the face should be highlighted by the glow of the eye. It is also unclear in the art why the golden overlay is there or where it came from. The mane fly aways look good, but as TWO said, be sure to smudge the stock's mane so it matches. I would also not do as severe of a blur on the background. You want to make it where the viewer can tell what the background is but just enough blur so it doesn't look crisp and you can't see small details.

On this piece, I REALLY love your mane! It looks great - definitely a good start. Manes are still such a challenge for me. However, the mane looks smudged so you need to match the body to the mane. Try smudging over the body with a soft brush on a low strength. Work in the direction of the hairs if you want it to look very natural. Also I am not sure what the white streak is. Is is light or is it fog? If it is light, the horse's highlights need to be drawn on in that color and perhaps give it a more golden glow. The blurring of the background looks okay but try to blend it out a bit to make it more natural. When you zoom in, the unblurred trees look quite awkward because the bottom is blurred while the rest of the tree is sharp.

I hope this all makes sense!

THIS HELPS SO MUCH!
the orange glow was from the backround haha and it sort of went a bit to "vibrant"

and the white streak was minda random lol ,it was supposed to be a light :)
