TIPS:

1. I have found, it helps to use a Smudging brush on the made LIGHTLY when done, not on the lone strands, just on the thick mane. It makes it look like more hair.

2. It seems easier for me, but different people think different things XD

If you are covering spots, it seems easier to use a brush on like 80%-90% Opacity.
