I'm starting my first piece of art, and I'm trying to remove a halter. I managed to remove it and fill in some of the face, but I can't seem to get it. Any tips?

Depends what program you're using. I use photoshop, so I use the clone stamp tool - very useful. GIMP also has a clone tool.

If you don't have the clone tool, you can try using the eyedropper to copy the colour of the horses face, and carefully cover up the halter, then add some details.
