sitting here drinking coffee same as yesterday thinking it is a normal day, yesterday we get an earthquake out of the blue. Hoping no more aftershocks happen today

Ash, agreed, I'm also closed at the moment but I never had issues selling my 3 months at 200k. I suppose it depends on demand at the time
Tamarack Mountain
06:50:45 Opal
I have purchased 51 of them for this account over my years here lol
Minerva
06:50:43 Min
I refuse to charge more than 160-170k- it means I usually sell out quick sharp and regularly get messages asking if I have any when I haven't advertised in ages so it works for me
All Breeds
06:49:00 Fawn
While I don't sell upgrades I can say for the most part 3 month upgrades have varied over the last 5-7 years averaging 120k to 170k. I get if the supply is low but demand is high situation however I wouldn't pay more than 170k for a 3 month personally
Tamarack Mountain
06:43:54 Opal
well that makes sense I agree with that
Ashcroft Park Stud
06:42:42 Ash
I sell upgrades sometimes (not at the moment so feel it’s ok to comment!) and it has to be worth it for me to advertise/deal with someone/send messages - for a 3 month 150k wouldn’t be worth it to me, since I could just buy a money fairy visit instead and not have to do any of that
Tamarack Mountain

Hello!

I started out using GIMP to edit/create my manips. It's a free software, though some people do find it hard to understand. Personally I never had that hard of a time grasping it and can try to help you out with that if you need.
I now use PS (Photoshop) from Adobe and really like it. I can be daunting at first because there's a lot in the program for you to use. I learned it in a few classes so that exposed me to a lot of the different tools and workings of PS which helped. Plus GIMP I found similar so that helped my transition. For either I suggest YouTubing a bunch of how-to's and tutorials!

For finding stock to use, Unsplash is a great source. They have high-quality stock (all free to use and anywhere which makes it simple). I also use DA (DeviantArt). I mostly get my horse stock or other random stuff from here, I mostly use Unsplash for my BG (backgrounds) now. With DA though, there are some stock that you have to buy. Also not everything on there is stock. Even if you search for stock make sure that it says so in the title/description or whatever and follow their rules. And look at the crediting requirements for HEE. It's in the art forum pinned near the top.
Hope this helps :)

Edit: As far as how you do manips, that's a very lengthy discussion and each person does it differently and has there own style. Just give yours a shot and see. But also YouTube tutorials are helpful and sometimes artists will post JoinMe links in chat to let you watch them do art. There are also numerous guides in the art forums I believe, but I am not positive.

This is like the Adopt a Newbie project, but it’s for art newbies. There are a lot of people that are super helpful.
EDIT: I JuST now realized that I posted the wrong link. XD It’s fixed now.
