Hello! No idea if this is allowed, if not please lock mods!

I have been trying to use Zombs tutorial, and I am either missing a step or just not doing it right, as it just looks like a black/white blob.. I am asking for someone who is good at art to tutor me! I am determind to figure it out, but I am just struggling. A LOT. If anyone would like to tutor, please post down below or PM me. I use IbisPaint, but I feel as though I do not have enough tools to work with. I have SketchPro, which I feel may be a little easier, but I am still trying to figure everything out.
