Hey ya'll - What brushes are we using for dapples (examples below)? Ya girl has looked and looked, but cannot seem to find anything that really looks close / good. I have one brush that I use but it really does NOT do it for me :') Would love & appreciate any guidance / advice please <3 Edited at October 21, 2025 01:58 AM by Twin Flames

I've always done it by hand, draw the squiggles, then blur and smudge until you are happy. It's tedious but looks good when you are done!

I would use any brush that makes like a 'star-ish" shape if you get what I mean, maybe even that sparkle effect one, use gaussian blur, change the opacity and color to your liking <3

Unfortunately, I don't have any Ibis suggestions, but for anyone listening, I ADORE GoldDawn Studio Designs brushes. That's what I use for hair and my dapples, roan, appy, etc. It's the only thing I've ever bought besides the app itself for art (Its $35 CAD) You can find it by googling this: golddawnarts gumroad
