Hey! Can I get some critique on this horse color change from chestnut to copper bay roan? Images by Chunga-stock in DA, and Henry Be on Unsplash. |

I think the roan could use a little touching up: try blending it out and lowering the opacity of the roan layer (assuming it's on a separate layer). |

Thank you! The HEE horse the ref was for had a pretty grainy and splotchy roan, but I will keep this in mind in the future! |

Yeah the HEE roan isn't exactly accurate; well at least not the old ones. Look up "roan horse" and see what pops up in google. Zoom into an image and you can see what roan actually looks like. (Don't use these as stock obviously, just saying so you can see how one looks in real life) |

Actually I think you're off to a good start! Definitely do use real life examples though. I would texture it in a way that makes the rump the whitest part of the roan while everything just kind of "roans out". |
