Hello! I am new to Photoshop on a drawing tablet, and am needing some pointers! I am new to graphic design and just learning how to do body prep and manes/tails. Please take a look at my practice pony and let me know where I can improve :) thank you in advance, and please... it does not cost anything to be kind when giving criticism. |

looks good! the mane looks like it could use a bit more shadowing, (a color slightly darker than the base) but it overall looks great so far :) |

Ah, you know I love this piece. That painted look- you're off to a great and very promising start <3 In response to your question, I'd say a shade of darker gray.
I'd add some more flyaway bunches that don't cooperate with the rest of the mane for extra realism. Maybe also some brighter, thin strands?
