Oh that's beautiful! Suitably different from the other use of it posted earlier, imo, it's a different feel :)

I just feel guilty posting it at the same time. I've got stock sitting around to use that I know has been used before, but this just feels wrong.
I could *maybe* redo it with a different stock.

Asfa, unless the idea seems to be really similar, like same horse recolour, atmosphere, theme, and so on, I really don't see anyone being upset about it (or even having the right to be upset, in my honest opinion). Free stock is free stock. I even find horse stock from others' art and go "Oooo I want to use that in the future!"

Yeah I dug it out from the depths of Adobe. But I suppose I can show it if I'm just going to stash it.

It was my first attempt at messing with white markings and I kinda really like the fur.

Yeah, same except I mostly use Adobe… I guess it might be a bit awkward if you’ve used the same horse and background together but (personally) I don’t see a problem with that. Unless someone has bought sole rights to an image (unlikely and not an option through Adobe!) they’ve no recourse

Fair play! You could always post it in the future 😊 Although now I’m curious to see it!

I basically only ever pull stock from Colourize-Stock and DancesWithPonies, so I'm convinced all of my horse stock has been used before xD but I get what you mean, it does make it a little awkward when they're directly next to each other in the forum

Naw, it was just a "f*ck around and find out" piece so I think I'll leave it. I don't wanna be that person.

Definitely still post it! There's only so much stock in the world, and I'm sure your style is still unique enough to be different :)

If it were me, I’d still post it - such is the way of stock images that you’re bound to get people using the same combos! If you’re worried you could add in when you started the piece into the description for your auction

04:34:37 Asfa
Oh man this is awkward. I *just* finished an art piece and was about to put it up for auction... only to find someone posted one earlier today with the exact same stock. Now I don't know what to do with it...

Hi! I am currently a tier 3 artist with prices ranging from 30-50k. I have been thinking about moving to tier 2, do you guys think this is suitable?
This is my shop

I'd say stay in tier 3 for now, as you're new to HEE, and your hair could use a little work before moving up to tier 3. (I in no way mean this to be offensive, just some advice^^)

I personally would say move to tier two, your hair work is better than what I see in most tier three including my own shop! Love the attention to detail! Keep up the great work! :)

I say stay in tier 3 as well. While your patterns and colors are nice, I find that you definitely could improve with hair, grounding, and making the horse look apart of the image before moving up.

The hair could use much more dimension in my opinion. The strands are all bunched together in one motion if that makes sense, strands lack size variety, and it just looks flat due to lack of proper highlights/shadows. There are some fabulous hair tutorials in the art forum I recommend you take a look at :)

As for grounding and making the horse look apart of the image, for the first 2 pieces shown in your shop I would've liked to see better grounding of the hooves. For the second one it looks like you just covered the hooves with an airbrush. For that piece I feel you could've added some more details like dust particles to make it look like the horse is actually kicking up the sand. For the water one, I would've liked to see the horse's reflection in the water and the rippling by the legs seemed flat. I recommend not using a large airbrush for that like it appears you did. I'd also like to see the horses look apart of the art more. I like to do this by playing with hues, saturation, etc of the horse to match the background.

I don't mean any of this in a bad way, I just wanted to point out where I think you could do some improving and help a bit :)

Honestly I can't be of help in that area, as I suck at hair. I'd say try practicing on a blank piece by painting hair from scratch, using the tutorials listed in the art help section.
