Hey, so i was just about to complete a manip on gimp for a contest, i hadn't saved it, and then gimp crashed. i lost all progress and decided to not redo it as it had taken me almost four hours to get to the point i was at. But when i tried to start another manipulation in gimp it stayed open for less than a minute and then crashed again (this has happens every time i open gimp now). I know i could try saving it after everything i do, but gimp just doesn't stay open long enough for me to make any progress. Has this happened to anyone else, and/or do you guys know the possible causes of it or how to stop it?

Ok, so not as urgent anymore as i now have a laptop i can use gimp on, but i still can't get gimp to work on my main computer, i have even tried to uninstall and reinstall it :(.
