Hello all, I'm rather new to the art world on HEE Im most comfortable in doing lineart However I took the leap and now dappling in. Manipulations. However I'm having some trouble in adjusting coat colors and shading. I'm struggling to make the horse look natural. I can easily go from a chestnut coat to black. And a white coat to palomino. But struggle with the others. Below is my second ever manipulation, any pointers would be greatly appreciated |

I would maybe try using an airbrush (If you're using ibs.paint) To put some type of lighting on the horse that would blend it into the background more, Like for a bright sky/ bright lighting you'd rim white/orangeish or maybe multiply blurred colors around the rim of the horse to give it a sun affect that's on the other side of the horse since the horse is not 3D. This is just from my experience of giving art a try, For a dark background like that maybe fog? |

Here are a few things I noticed right off the bat: #1 the credits. In a manip, you never want the credits super long, or in all sorts of weird places. It's easier on the mods to have them be in one spot, and just small enough that they aren't blinding, keeping in mind that mods need to still be able to read them. #2 the quality. The quality of the image is really bad. Of course that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong, it just means your program is not producing the correct amount of quality to neatly perform manips. I'm sure some artists have found work around to issues like this on Ibis, but I'd honestly recommend Krita (totally byassed to it, I ADORE the program), FireAlpaca, Adobe, or something else rather than Ibis for starting on manips. Another thing I noticed is that the image is very flat. The horse is too dark, there's no shading, and no fine details can be seen on the horse. Also, the hooves on the legs with markings are the same color as the markings, and don't blend into the background properly. |

Unfortunately none of those programs will work on my phone.....so I'm stuck with Iblis
