What I like doing is cross-referencing images, if that’s what you call it. Pop it into some sort of site and select DA, should grab some that are similar to your photo and then you just check each one if they’re stock

I'm working on a piece for WhizBar. I have the background done, it's perfect, I love it. I've completely cut out no less than five horses and then decided I hate them and they don't fit the background :D

I think you should stay in tier 3 for now. :)
It looks like you do a pretty good job matching the lighting of the horse and background. One thing that sticks out to me is your hair painting. You're doing pretty good so far, but I would work on making the hair more smooth and a little less grainy. Maybe try out some new brushes to see what works for you. Your eye painting looks pretty good to me too. Maybe experiment with some tack removal as this is an important thing to be able to do.
If anything, I would raise your prices to maybe 20k. :)
