Be as harsh as needed, as I'd love to improve any way that I can. Dark pieces aren't my strong suit, but I'm fairly proud of this one. He started out as a chestnut, so yeah...

I think you cut it out well and have good composition. I really like your use of space and how you are able to fit the animals in and make it look like a natural, well thought out scene.

However, I think the lighting is a tad too bright underneath the horse's head. Also, I think it would look more realistic if his back had some moonlight on it, as well. Otherwise, I think you have a good grasp on the lighting.
