I don't, like, understand why'd they would do that (match race) in general. Like, she was just as good as any other racehorse, despite being seen as "less than" in that era. Then again, I don't understand match races in general.

Working on a new greyscale for adoptables. Haven't finished the hair on this particular one, but other than that what needs work? I've been staring at it for 6+ hours and need some fresh eyes....

It's pretty!
I would add a little bit more lowlights/ darker shading on parts of the horse- like under the belly near the top of the back leg, and behind the face on the neck and down the chest a little. It would give it a less flat appearance :) Great work!

Mane and tail are still in progress, I haven't done the shading yet, just blocked in where I wanted it.

Here's with the basic hairs added in, still no real shading. But I did deepen the shadows like Polaresta suggested.
