How do you guys keep image quality when scaling it down to 500x500? Every time i do this it completely ruins the quality of the horse..
Also, How do you keep quality up when you compress the image down to below 100KB? It makes the image look blurry.
Keep in mind that this is all in GIMP. Please help me >.< |

When you choose the resize tool change "interpolation" option to "NoHalo". It should keep most of the quality.
Still haven't figured out how to keep the quality when compressing it only resizing it.
This is what I used to do when using gimp. Now I use photoshop elements 8. |

You could probably use an online image compressor/resizer to keep quality as well. |

I know in photoshop you can "Save for Web & Devices" which allows you to set the file size right when you save it so you don't have to bother with compression sites. |
