If you use software that includes picture tubes (e.g. Paintshop), do you have to credit use of the included tubes and how do you do that if the software does not tell you the artists who made the brushes that are packaged with the original software?
If someone is selling photos on a stock image site and also wants to use one on HEE, how do they credit it- with their stable number, or with their stock image account name and web address, or...?
Can the rules be updated to specifically cover 3D renders and exactly what needs to go on the credits please? I have tried many times to comply with HEE rules but keep failing to understand how they apply to the type of art I create, which is frustrating for everyone involved. I think I need someone to sit me down and go "Put these exact words here on this image in this size, this colour and this font to make this image acceptable, and you'll never see the take-down message again."
My specific questions are:
If you buy a model from a company, how do you properly give credit for using it in an image? Do you need to credit all the artists that created the model, texture, rigging etc.- assuming the company publishes their names- or artists' names plus company name, and what do you do if the company does not publish the artists' names?
Where do you send proof of purchase for models etc. when posting art? Do you need to include proof of purchase for the rendering software, or do you need that only if the software includes models, textures, lights etc. that are used in an image?
How are 3D stock images handled? Are they treated the same way as any other stock art, and if not then how much information does HEE need from the original stock art provider for the art to be accepted? |

Dakota, as far as I am aware, those pictures are not stock, and to credit an image correctly you need to put the credits on the image itself, not send it to this thread. |
