Right now I am just going to do as I am told and let them handle the stuff I am not allowed to do anymore. See how much longer it takes them and what doesn't get done. Let them see I am not the issue.

Realistically, I just don't think some people want others there, was more my point. And will constantly bend and morph rules to try and make you miserable.

Del,
Well, she was whiny in general, too. I was too small to pick up a german shepherd safely and refused, suddenly it was passed off as "refusing work."

Amongst other things.

One time she snapped at me for "snarking" at her when I said, in a polite tone, "alright, I understand" to something she explained.

Versa,

Thats such an odd reason to fire someone lol

If thats truly how it is there, then I would start looking for a new position. Working in an environment where you have to constantly second guess yourself is stressful. Not good for the mental :)

My prior internship I got "fired" from. Why? An older lady who was overseeing me and all of my daily activities dropped a can of treats on the floor. She looked really in pain when she bent over to pick them up, so I offered to help.

She looked like I just screamed an insult at her...

But like I said there is always two workers and we do it all together. The main person I work with and do everything with is the Manager, which is the owners second in command

Sometimes people will explain how to do something one way but actually complete the task another. We dont always completely verbalize our process. There might be some unspoken rules that are at play here that you can only see if you shadow the task. Im sure this is frustrating.

Yep. That is one of the main reasons I left my last job. I worked there for almost 6 years and did everything the same way all those years which is the way I was taught and told by the owner. Then suddenly everything I was doing was wrong.

I would ask to shadow the owner or a coworker again for those tasks. Maybe a step in the task is escaping you and you don’t even realize it.

Well, the owner can't have it both ways. They can't train their employees one way, and do the same thing a different way. It's just gonna confuse, and piss off said workers. They get paid to do what they're trained to do.

I think so but I don't know. She will say one thing one day then say it is wrong another day. I only do things the way I was told or shown to do but then it is wrong.

You're just a 'worker bee'.
Do what you're told, regardless of how you were trained.

Is the owner the type is person where they need to do things themselves in order for it to feel like it was done right? The issue could have nothing to do with you personally. Are there other workers there you could ask to see if there is something that you might be missing?

What to sell her for? January 19, 2025 02:36 PM

Hi! I'd like to sell this girl, and I want to make sure I price her fairly. When I searched up EWW SH mares for sale under search, I had results from 20,000 ebs (for a retiring mare), to the next cheapest at 100,000 ebs, all the way up to the most expensive at 900,000 ebs. With such a large range of prices...I'm lost. I want to make some decent money off her to get ready for RO, but I don't want to charge so much that she probably won't sell for a while. Thank you!

Without training it's hard to know, i'd wait until wk 4 up to 7/8 and then compare her with other mares who have been sold with similar training (you can find mares that have previously been sold by searching her ratings and just checking sale history <3)

Hey, what a cute girl! Looking at both her parents, her sire isn't on the ABLB but is on some AA boards which is good, and her dam has some pretty famous older boys in her lineage, but her production and training isn't great. Overall due to the extreme saturation of WW+ combo sports horses and this filly's more common colour I would price her in the 200k-300k range (maybe less if she didn't sell fast)
Based on - I recently sold this mare for 300k with ABLB father and Spl + no tracked training and this 1/13 svenned WWE mare (with 2 ABLB parents) for 500k.
I hope this helps! The SH market is very full and confusing! :)
-But also yes what Dash said - without training it can be tough to price!
