question, what's the difference between D/J/C and Eventing? is "eventing" only for like, "upper level"? or is it an aggregate of the other three disciplines?

There's tons of cheap ZZ horses out there with better ratings. If you need a PPP silver you cannot count on him.

I only keep EEE's for quests. But he is super cute! I love Silver Blacks...I might start a project on my main Account.

its just darker version of grullo, besides theres sooo much silver studs up for free breeding far better rated

Because it usually costs quite a lot to make them AND because the amount you can get per mare (and stable) is very limited - especially compared to straws.

So I know stuff like this
4 - 112112
5 - 212222
6 - same
7 - missed
8 - 223223
is for tracking training (and ty to those in chat who helped confirm that's what this is, my head hurts or I would def remember names 😅)--but so far all I've been able to discern is that the first numbers are weeks and the following string is for each stat.
My question is just because I'm so new to this, I'm trying to wrap my head around it--if I wanted to keep tracking that stuff for myself, what's the difference between all the week numbers? because it doesn't appear to be related to the number of training sessions they've had, although I'm assuming then the "training sessions" might also include round pen trainings and not the once-weekly stat training?
I know there are some training/showing guides out there, but I'm trying not to overwhelm my brain. 😅 TYIA for the assist. 🙏

Yes actually it does correspond with the training sessions!
So week 4 = training session 4 (this is tracking the training session that occurs once per week). Round pens only impact bravery so they don't have any effect on the stats tracked in the remarks.
.
All bred horses start at 111111 then usually go up in some/all stats Week 4/Training Session 4 if they're training in All Disciplines. Wild horses start at 333333 then will also go up Week 4. If a horse is training in a Single Discipline, then it's not uncommon to go up in a stat Week 3. There are some great guides to explain what qualifies as good/strong training (and what you want the stats to look like for each week) so definitely try to find those if you're looking for more detailed information. Hope this helps!

You are correct, the "weeks" are each week of training which is usually started at week 4 (wk4 or 4) for AD (all discipline) horses or week 3 (wk3 or 3) for SD (single discipline) horses.

The sequence of numbers is how many bars are in each skill in order from left to right so, with the example you gave,

On week 4 (4) of this horse's training they went up in two traits, **2*2 (heart [hrt] and strength [str]) meaning those are their overall, initial, strengths (they have the possibility of changing strengths and weaknesses, but it's not incredibly common, especially when the horses increase in quality [such as AB/LB WWWs] in comparison to lower quality horses). Their current weaknesses are the other traits (left to right), movement/intelligence/scope/speed

When tracking training, pay attention to the number of bars in each trait that change each week (will usually start going up around wk3 or 4). I usually track until wk15, by then you should have a pretty good idea of what the horse's strengths and weaknesses. Also, you only need to track horses you're planning on breeding, tracking geldings or mares on cycle suppressent is useless unless you really want to.

Bonus: when people talk about "matching" horses, they're referring to matching the strengths of one horse to the weaknesses of another in an attempt to balance them out and have a strong, complimentary pair that should, hopefully, allow for a strong, well rated foal

Feel free to reach out for clarification or if you have any other questions!

What the others have mentioned is helpful I thought I'd also add some other details that may help you.
My WWW training is
+2
Wk4 222222 -yay!
Wk5 222222
Wk6 222222
Wk7 222323
wk8 333333
Her week 4 was great since she went up all 6 that shows she's not very weak in a specific category.
On week 7 she went up in two categories which makes her strong in those stats as week 8 is when you usually see numbers go up. She evened out on wk8 again showing no weakness. You may also see the +2 on horses in remarks like mine is at the top. That indicates a horse was breed with the use of a sven that +2 in all categories. So for this specific horse for breeding I will look at a stud who went up wk 7 where she did not for the best chance at hitting the leader boards.
An EEW horse of mine
Wk4 121222
Wk5 122222
Wk 6 222222
Wk7 222222
Wk8 233333
Wk9 233333
Wk10 333333
Her week 4 showed she has weaknesses on wk y she should have evened out but didn't so she's extremely weak in that category. She never went up week 7 so she's not strong in a category. For breeding purposes she would be matched with a stud who went up in those two areas on wk4 and since she's really weak in mv the stud she will get sent to will have gone up in wk7 to compliment her weaknesses.
These tracking will help you properly match your horses for the best chance at breeding higher rating. Hope this helps

Thank you all so much for the advice! I don't know that/if I'll ever aim for leaderboards, but definitely good things to know on any horses I buy (and for any studs/broods I train).
Are there any "best practices" not already mentioned for organizing training notes? Between you three it looks like that covers it all but you never know what you don't know. 😆 I've seen it suggested there be auto-tracking training since it's such a time-consuming process--which would be amazing--but of course until a feature like that were implemented we're left with "pen and paper" so to say.

Every week when training time comes I go through the whole list one by one in the training tab to make sure they have been tracked. That way I don't constantly have to rifle through my barns. That way if I missed I'll catch it before I click train.
