As the title suggests I have really struggled with them the last year. Sven matches ends with EEE or maybe EWE even when I focus on my so-called best mares OR if I use someone else's mare(s). So what help do I need? I need someone's fresh eyes on my breeding mares (WWE combos, maybe WEE combos if training is nice). And be brutally honest, dont tell me my breeding stock could use some improvements if they belong in the trash can :) Pm me or comment here. All help and/or input is greatly appreciated! |

Hi!! I've been having the same luck 😭 Here's what I'm thinking: (looking at EWE+ mares in your RID Ratings barn. If they're not listed, then I didn't have any strong feelings) . Prioritize: Cull: . I think personal preference, I also don't keep anything under EWE. EEEs and EEP combos just aren't worth anything anymore so I don't feel like it's worth wasting ebs to breed them unless they're like gorgeous. EWEs also have to have exceptional training to get to stay.
If I were you, I'd look for some EWW+ embryos to LB girls and just try to build your program strength back up <3 |

My RIDs have been kicking my ass lately too. I took it down to training. Before, I was keeping any WEE combo filly at all and prioitizing them. Now I've culled all mares, including the colorful EEE ones to be all up Wk5 and 9. Only those with Wk7s get prioitzed. And to keep myself from being tempted to breed the others, I just FR'd them. Sure I could have made some much needed ebs but the longer they sat for sale the more I'd be tempted. To be honest I don't feel like I can give you advice though. You're a much more seasoned player than me and I look up to you about matching and stuff still. This is just what I've done the past 2 months so we shall see if it's any good. |

Just because I am a "more seasoned" player doesnt mean that I dont need reminders :) I have kept a lot of horses because pretty and also partially because when everything fails you end up scared culling in case you boot out one that can give something good.

I share your feelings and position AL, I'm on a verge of giving them up entirely myself, been over 5 years and I still haven't bred a single www. At this point it's just a circle I keep going through, unless you sit on a ton of ebs - lb embs isn't much of an option, I can't afford dropping a million a month on maybe it will work. I'm sad and defeated, but I still try to fight my apricot army. Since prl lb boys retired, it's been a nightmare |

Damn I'm sorry 😭 I do feel like LB embryos aren't too out of reach though? Capp (Rainview) and Grim (Kodiak Valley) pretty consistently put up mare threads that have LB girls for 200-300k. I don't usually put up a thread but my girls are always up for grabs as well. The only mares that cross 1mil for broods are ones with frame lol |

What turns me into someone you do not want to meet in a dark alley - is seeing someone starting up and pulling www from ewe x ewe crosses, you just go numb. |
