Are we allowed to give away an account to someone else? I'm assuming we aren't allowed to sell it though it would be nice if we could.

I think it's a no, since others aren't supposed to know about our password

I also think it's a no. And it's because of what Versailles said. That and it could also be considered a cheat if you give your account to a friend to help them build up their stables with your horses and items.

You're not allowed to sell or give them away. There's personal account data other than your log in that cannot be shared with another person.
