Training? Riders? Breeding? Help May 15, 2023 02:08 PM

Hey y'all, I've been playing HEE pretty much since it was released (obviously not under this stable hahaha) but I still cannot seem to understand training 😅
I've been trying to breed RIDs and KNNs successfully for a long time, and while I recognize these are the more challenging breeds, I just.. don't understand what keeps happening with them.

I do my best to match and even pay for people to match for me (because they're probably way better at it than I am), but I still end up with either a ton of PPP/EPP combos from amazing matches OR I get a seemingly nice EEE/EWE combo and then their training is always god-awful. Can anyone give me pointers? I'm trying to use my last summer off from school before starting rotations to improve my farm.
I also don't really understand the riders thing. Ive had people tell me I have too many riders, and thats part of why I don't make as much profit from showing as I'd like (because I'm paying so much for my million riders), but I constantly have horses leveling and then don't have enough available riders at the higher levels, so I end up with a bunch of riders that I probably don't need, but I don't know how to fix it without running out of riders for my show ponies.
Any help is appreciated, I've tried forever to figure this game out but I apparently am not capable 😂

there is a LOT of luck involved with breeding. You just gotta keep trying until something sticks xD
woth showing, only use AD riders, and try to consolidate them as much as possible.

For the breeding side of things, make sure you're using the highest LB studs you can. I don't know about RID, but as a KNN breeder, I've found you need top studs just to get single Ws. If you can't afford amazing studs for everyone, it's probably worth paring back your herd. I try to keep a maximum of six breedable EEE+ mares around. That way I have some options come RO but not too much of a drain on my finances. Also, selling off the rejects is a decent bit of income. Again, I can't speak to RID, but I know EEE KNN mares reliably go for 50-100k and studs sell for 10-20k.

If you're just breeding for ratings, your homebred studs should probably be sold or gelded. I keep mine intact because of my AD color project, but once your mares are all seeing LB boys, there won't be any point in yours, at least until they start hitting the LB. Of course, even once your girls are seeing LB boys, RF will still play a part in their production, but I think you should see a slow, steady uptick in their offspring's training / production. After a couple real life years of figuring things out myself, I now usually get at least 1 WEE+ per RO along with some EEEs. Of course they've all been colts lately, but that's another story XD
