When do y'all cull? Do you require up w3? W6/7? What's your guide to SD culls.

Currently my stud culls are up at least one w3 and w6, and all up w7. Mares have to be all up w4 and w8. Am I doing okay? Do I need to cut down harder? Help xD
looking to take my stock to the next level. Getting on the LBs, but I want to keep climbing!

This is personally what I do. It's a pretty harsh cull, but I find it generally sorts out the higher LB stock from the non. I sometimes don't follow this completely religiously, but it's my baseline for formulating my top string mares =)
I cull if they are not:

all up wk 8, 2 up wk 10, 2 up wk 13, all up wk 15

I personally keep and test all W stallions, and cull based off LB placing. =)

Good luck!!

I use a combination of training and production for culling (I only keep Ws to begin with).
I expect my horses to be up at least 1 bar week 3/6/9/11 and all up week 4/7/10/13. Stallions that don't meet these criteria get culled - no testing. Studs that place below #50 on their breeds LB get culled (they make great show geldings). With mares I expect them to produce their own rating 50% of the time. They get four foals, if they don't make the LB or didn't produce their rating 2/4 times, they get culled (W-rated mares get offered for brood).
I usually track to week 13 as many SD horses tend to show their weaknesses in later weeks than AD horses.
