Today I found one thing as a description of my stable which is named "region" and for me it's south. What is that about?

Um, they dont hold much significant meaning. But there are four regions. North, East, South, West.

And it basically just splits the players up. There are region specific leaderboards, and sometimes the regions act as teams for sitewide sanctioned games. :)
