Any horse can have pearl (Prlprl or prlprl) but it will not always be expressed.

Perlino is just a double creme dilution (CcrCcr). Can carry pearl but it won't show in the genetic name.

The Pearl gene is it's own thing. What kind of Pearl do you have? Like Coldwater Meadows said: any horse and any base coat can have it, but it will not always show in the horse's image. Buying a genetic test can help you find out.

Perlino is just the Creme gene doubled on a bay coat. So it's like buckskin but double Creme. also creme foals

Pearl is not Perlino/Creme. However, Pearl and Creme do intermingle with each other and give you EXTRA SHINY foals. IRL, Creme can activate Pearl ONLY when the horse has both.

Creme is a dilution gene. One copy of the Creme (Ccr) allele will result in a "single dilute" horse; a smokey black, buckskin, brown buckskin or palomino. 2 copies of the allele (CcrCcr horses) will result in a "double dilute" horse; a smokey crème, perlino, brown crème or cremello.

Single dilute horses will show pearl genes if there is one present; Double Dilutes will hide pearl (and also Champagne) because their coat is already maximally diluted so the other dilution factor will not have an effect.

The difference between those three is the cost they would have before the creme was introduced. Cremello is a chestnut based, perlino is bay based, Smokey creme is black based.

So, the list of expressions would be:

Apricot (homo prl on chestnut)

Buckskin pearl (prl + buckskin)

Palomino pearl (prl + palomino)

Smokey pearl (prl + Smokey black)

Brown buckskin pearl (prl + brown buckskin)
