Any fillies that don't go up get relegated to broods, any colts that aren't 2 up get binned. Then they need to be all up week 7 and for freshie stallions they need to produce at least 50% Ws to stay on and get their own mares. Anything that gets at least 6 but is super shiny gets a spot in the spares barn

I track colts for weeks 3, 6, and 9, and require them to go up 2 at least two of those three weeks. I'm not nearly as strict with my fillies so I'm working on changing that haha

Before I put out a lot of EBS to purchase a horse I would like some advise.

She is young up 1 across in week 5 then she stays the same until week 8 where she is up 3. So by week 8 she has a training of 332222.

LB bloodlines ( top 10). Rating is EEE. What are my chances of her being a good addition to my barn? How does one tell if they are very good, good or so so.

What breed is she?
What is her price?
What has her dam produced?
Has she leveled an disciplines?

Its nearly impossible to tell if a horse is going to flop or not, but there are some good indicators you can look for.

It'd be easiest if you just posted a link.

If she is ISH or SH, i dont think id pay more than 150k

Yes, usually if theyre training is stellar they would sell higher. Or if they had a better pedigree.

All of the dams foals so far have been flops, and shes not even on her breed LB.

Personally, id walk away at that price, but that's a personal opinion and ultimately the decision is up to you.

I saw that but so many people use Wild horses and do well. The Dam has a good sire (Night Shade) This would be my first EEE so I am nervous about putting that much out there. But the foals sire is a very good horse. This is why I ask for advise. Now I guess I need to think about it more. Hard to find a EEE for sale within my price.

You need to define what you consider doing well.

Is it just producing EE+ combos?

To me, doing well is a horse that is on its breed leaderboard or ABLB.
It is a horse that will continually produce EEE foals.
And it will be a horse that people will pay decent money to breed to.

If your only goal is to produce more 'meh' EE+ horses than she might be a good purchase for your program.

If your goal is to be competitive on the leaderboards, she will probably not be a good purchase.

Also remember, that once you purchase said horse, you will still have to afford to breed it to a good stud every year. (not very cheap)

If you are looking to be competitive on the LBs, then i would suggest saving up some EBS and purchasing a brood to a very good mare. I'd send her to a very high ABLB stud. That would be the cheapest option to potentially get a very good horse at a competitive price.

I just can not find them. I have tried looking for a LB mare or stallion and if they are anywhere near that the price is WAY up there. I prefer a PON but a SH I can breed to PON . The closest I have found was a EEP combo. They are around 100K for them. Sometime more depending on the bloodline.

You can breed any breed of horse to a PON and get a PON.
There are a TON of good broods out there in the forums.

I would not worry about buying a mare I would get a LB brood and straw and way better chance of getting a baby without having to empty your pockets on a crappy mare . :)
