Oh that's beautiful! Suitably different from the other use of it posted earlier, imo, it's a different feel :)

I just feel guilty posting it at the same time. I've got stock sitting around to use that I know has been used before, but this just feels wrong.
I could *maybe* redo it with a different stock.

Asfa, unless the idea seems to be really similar, like same horse recolour, atmosphere, theme, and so on, I really don't see anyone being upset about it (or even having the right to be upset, in my honest opinion). Free stock is free stock. I even find horse stock from others' art and go "Oooo I want to use that in the future!"

Yeah I dug it out from the depths of Adobe. But I suppose I can show it if I'm just going to stash it.

It was my first attempt at messing with white markings and I kinda really like the fur.

Yeah, same except I mostly use Adobe… I guess it might be a bit awkward if you’ve used the same horse and background together but (personally) I don’t see a problem with that. Unless someone has bought sole rights to an image (unlikely and not an option through Adobe!) they’ve no recourse

Fair play! You could always post it in the future 😊 Although now I’m curious to see it!

I basically only ever pull stock from Colourize-Stock and DancesWithPonies, so I'm convinced all of my horse stock has been used before xD but I get what you mean, it does make it a little awkward when they're directly next to each other in the forum
Asfamoth
04:45:23 Asfa
Naw, it was just a "f*ck around and find out" piece so I think I'll leave it. I don't wanna be that person.
Oakmoss Stud

Definitely still post it! There's only so much stock in the world, and I'm sure your style is still unique enough to be different :)

If it were me, I’d still post it - such is the way of stock images that you’re bound to get people using the same combos! If you’re worried you could add in when you started the piece into the description for your auction

04:34:37 Asfa
Oh man this is awkward. I *just* finished an art piece and was about to put it up for auction... only to find someone posted one earlier today with the exact same stock. Now I don't know what to do with it...

Most of my babies are ChCh, but it never shows. What other color is it covered by?

I'm no expert, but since one is homozygous for sabino and the other for splash, that, combined with their tobiano, appy, and rabicano markings may be what's covering the color, if I'm reading your question right.

I understand, but there is no champagne listed in the colors.. yet they are both homozygous with it.

I'd say its the double cream which is hiding the champagne

That's my best guess, considering creme can hide pearl.

As far as I know, the only things that can hide Champagne completely are double Creme variants (so cremello, perlino, smokey creme), grey, and white.

All double creme colors will hide champagne along with grey and white.

Your babies also are homo for silver and the little girl is carrying pearl. I agree that the crème variant in each is supplanting champagne in the color name. Since it can hide the other colors, it's the only color listed. The others listed show up as patterns and primitive marks (in the case of dun.) If you try crossing one with a non-crème, non-white, non-grey horse (like a bay, brown, black or chestnut) the champagne should show up in the offspring's color label.
