I bred a EEE mare to a WWW stud who both had pretty strong lineages. The same stud gave me a EWW with a different mare and this mare has given me a PPP (gelded) and an EEE mare. Is it now that easy to get such a low rating from high rated horses? This colt is a SSP. Before I set it free, I just wanted to understand if it could be a bug or if they do throw such low ratings now. It has been a while since I last played and I don't recall them throwing ratings so much lower than their own ratings. Thank you

That's just random factor (RF) unfortunately. Even when you do breed decent horses together, there's still the chance that the foal will be a dud otherwise the game would be overrun by WWWs. RF was recently adjusted to be less harsh but it seems like you still got a bit of bad luck. Another factor is that the mare (his mom) is pretty weak as she has thrown multiple S/P combos before so it doesn't seem to irregular for this boy to also be weak.
Hope this helps!

these are 2 very weak horses bred together will almost always be a weak foal, the WW is the only WW that stud has produced so more than likley its a RF foal and will be a coin flip on weather it its self will produce or be a flop

Thank you both! He is indeed a dud so off to FR for him and another one. Oh well, that is the joy (and let down) of breeding I suppose.
