I've been playing this game for about a day or so (maybe a day longer). I've read Hyrim Canyon's website for tips, but I'm still at loss. How do I get the hang of this game and are there any tips or strategies you would suggest? I have horses entered in shows that haven't ran yet, but it just seems tough to really earn money and advance in the game (probably because I don't know what I'm doing...) I know about the geldings and I've been buying some, but any other tips? How did you all get the hang of the game?

Starting off takes time, but with growth you will be able to progress faster. First off, starting with geldings.

I suggest as many geldings as possible to start with (Don't forget about riders!) around level 3-6. This gives you time to learn how to show without wasting your bank, as well as most horses having at least a few months left in their lifespan.

There are many showing guides out there, but around every three bars of training (I believe...) or new shade of color shows a horse is about to level. From level one to two, it goes from a tan to a lighter red.

It takes time, but showing and geldings are the best way to start your game. Games are also great for some little amounts of cash to play with here and there.

I would stay away from broods, as well as capture button, until you have a barn full of geldings. This will help you save money as you learn the game.
