Hello! So I have played this game before but restarted and I always had a problem with starting, I know geldings are a good start but I have no idea what to look for in geldings, so I would just like whatever help anyone can offer:)

Make sure to get geldings with the same level so you need less riders (I usually have at least 4-5 horses assigned to a rider). The higher the rating, the sooner your geldings will level up. The higher the level, the more they'll win once they're in the money. In general SD horses level quicker than AD horses. You can either start with yearlings with zero training (that won't get you much money the first month) or start with trained geldings. For making money quickly I'd advice you to get some Level 4+ geldings and get some yearlings cheap and train them up. This way you already got a source of income while your yearlings train up. Concerning their rating I usually show any SSP combos and higher. I also have my riders training AD even if they're training SD horses to save money.

I'd start with level 3+ premium geldings. Get a shit ton of them (until you'll vomit if see another one), then get some more. You can never have enough geldings. lol

I think Geldings are a must for income. I've been playing the game for several years and have only recently started showing because I never really learned how to. I would scroll through the member guides in the forums to get some tips and tricks for showing. Also you can pm me any questions you have and I'll be happy to help :)
