Not the worst but for AD not super great either, though I have had some luck with them with random factor. They’d make a good SD if they’re a mare though

we have lots of wild sundews here on our property in Aussie. I love them.
Saw wild pitcher plants in the tropics too!

I love the Sundews, although I’m not sure what they would say to our climate.

The carnivorous plant diet varies based on plant. The pings get ground up bloodworms while the sundews just get whatever they can catch, though I'm tempted to get a wingless fruitfly colony for them. Flytraps get small things in their traps or if they happen to catch something. Pitchers are just the garbage disposals

Bugs are the clean up crew.

Plants came from a plant nursery in the states as well as several people off etsy

Hi all!
I am currently in the "ugh, trust the process" building of my herd. Unfortunately, all my horses are in training. I'm trying to figure out how many of each level I should have in my herd. Also, what is the best option of a level horse to buy to help me earn from showing, starting off, until my younglings are trained?
Thank you!

Hi!!
Rocky Mountain Paints left some solid advice in this forum about levels <3
.
On a side note, be careful about your stable avatar having proper credits otherwise the mods will take it down :)

Hi,
Starting well :).
But best to keep all riders 'all disciplines'. They level up slower which means they stay with you longer and build up good show experience.
You can have any single discipline horse with that same rider.
Keep to the lower levels early on, as the horses and riders develope they will naturally go up. The level 9 riders are expensive. So not worth having until several of your own horses go up to level 9.
So if buying in, get a few more level 3 + 4 horses. Pick horses by eventing level + 'sort by winnings' down at bottom of search tool. Do not look at sex, they all win. Mares are as good as geldings after the initial few weeks.
I find PEE & EEE horses give me great profits. Yes W might be better but you have to pay so much more, so longer to actually get profit. You want to get back the purchase price in first month of owning the the horse. All level horses will make a profit. But it is slower as you go down the ratings.
Keep in mind that the best profit is made if your rider has 5 or more horses. Then the winnings pay for the rider + some profit.
Don't do futurity yet when breeding as the winners are mostly all W horses. Leave that to later when your herd improves, at the moment it would be a money sink.
Best of luck.
