Pasture/barn upgrade

Recently I was looking into buying another barn but then I started looking at pastures. Both seem like viable options to get. I need help! Which one would be better to buy?

My current goal is to increase the number of horses I have. Understandably barns hold horses so thats the easy route but pastures can too. As well as make hay.
Any and all opinions welcomed!!

If you plan on keeping both mares and stallions in it, a barn will keep them from breeding on their own. A pasture could be used for hay in the future if you empty it, and will also feed the horses in it if there aren't too many. :)
