I don't really check ever really since I breed for ratings, not color. Color is just a plus

I'm curious, how often do yall check to see if a stud has had a genetic test before you breed your mare? I'm wondering if it would be worth genetic testing my studs....

Lazy, same! I'm applying to a few work from home positions in my industry, because I think it'd be so much better for me. Plus, my company is tiny so there's no ladder to climb, it's literally me, my colleague and the owner

I work a mixture of at home and at events, and I like the change of scenery but sometimes I definitely miss having my extra large screen when I'm doing things at events/from the hotel.

I have a laptop, but we basically don't use them. So I'd have to bring my laptop, keyboard, mouse, headset. At home I have two 27 inch monitors. In the office I'd have two 17inch monitors. RIP

Can someone break down the benefits/uses of each special breeding item? When and how are they used?

Glasses add +3 to a specific trait - 100k
Medallions add +2 to all traits in a discipline - 330k
Svens add +2 to ALL 6 traits - 1m
Glasses are used in a few instances. Usually I use them when the match is "perfect" but lacking one specific thing, but I dont want to sven it because I use these on color matches or weaker mares because I wont waste a sven on it.
Medallions are used for a match where it could use a booster in a discipline. EWWxWWW matches would usually get a D medallion if the stud isnt as strong in the weaker discipline.
I use svens for perfect matches that are WWWxWWW or EWWxWWW that have hopes of producing a WWW.

So as a SD (cross country) breeder, Glasses and Medallions should be my go to? Can they only be used at the time of breeding?
For instance, my second foal ever bred managed to rate as W in XC.. however, both of his parents (also SD in XC) seem to be weakest in Strength. He is not far enough in training to decide if he'll stay a stud or not, but if so would you recommend a glass in that case, assuming that he is also going to be weakest in strength?

SD breeders them to use items less, as the foals are not worth as much as AD foals and the items, but glasses and medallions would be your best choice. Items can only be used at the time of breeding, so if you were to repeat the match that gave you the W in XC, you could add a glass and see if the training is stronger. Most of the horses at the top of the leaderboards have medallions used, but many smaller stables cannot afford these items. I hope this helps!
Edit - fixed spelling and made things make more sense
