Horse Eden : Genetics Game Questions

It has been a long time since high school biology. I thought I remembered the pea plants well enough to get thru the Genetics game, but I keep striking out.

For example: if the parents are AA and aa, that means the foal has to be Aa, right? And if the parents are Aa and aa, it's a 75% chance of aa and a 25% chance of Aa.

These were my answers for today's genetics game. (I did put Aa and aa because I couldn't think of how else to get to 8 answers.) I figured that even if aa was wrong, that would only bring me to 50%, but instead I got 0. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah Lp is why you got 0 correct answers. To answer your questions about agouti, you're correct that AA x aa would always be Aa. Aa x aa has a 50% chance of producing either, because it just depends on which gene the heterozygous parent passes, although that seems to be reflected in your answers.

I also find it helpful to use permutation to determine how to alternate the genes with multiple possibilities in my answers. You have several repeats so would only have gotten 4 correct with Lp in there.

Facepalm, thank youse so much!

I've been trying to use the Notepad while playing the game so I can copy and paste permutations, but I think I need to be a bit more careful while I do it!
