I was wondering if anyone knew if/how breeding items work when creating embryos? I couldn't find anything on the topic but it may just be me.

I'm wondering the same thing, I don't see a item option.

I see an item option right at the bottom, when you implant the embryo.

I wonder if it's a bug I don't have the item dropdown bar

You need to have an item in your inventory to have the option to use one.
