So I am super curious on how everyone is thinking of navigating the new alterations. I have almost always done 3 "big" matches with svens and top studs. However, with the income cut I dont know how I will afford a majority of the stuff. "oh but you have studs!!" - well yes I am lucky and I do. However, studs fall down the boards when new freshies pop up. Horses age out. Studs and mares are never a steady income. I am terrible at art and if I was even semi decent enough to think I could post pieces for sale, I do not have the time. Time is also the reason I no longer show. I was a top show stable for a long time on my main. However, these days work keeps me anywhere for 8-16 hours a day. The BM can only do so much and I never saw enough of a profit from her to pay my rider bill much less actually profit well from her. Im curious to know are you guys cutting matches down..? What will yall do with your other promising mares? The market is already overrun with mares and its been hard to even get them picked up for free :( I was a huge map buyer and would buy out the entire supply listed in item sale. Loved to capture just to see if i could get some shiny new blood and on occasion lucked out but I dont know if I can afford to do that. Which I am sad about becasue the money I used for maps funded people's entire ROs.. Just sourcing ideas to see what others think may be a feasible way to try to navigate the change and see someone else's ideas and perspective. And if you guys will throw svens out as they will be fairly hard to afford now.

I am curious to see what people say, but ultimately I think stables will have to start looking into showing. I am lucky because I already had a large and successful show string prior to starting my FR fodder. I am still being hit hard, but not as hard as stables who never showed. I have heard many people talking about how easy WWW's are to breed and I think this new rule will make them harder to breed which can be seen as good or bad. My suggestion would be to use the money you get from selling some of your FR barns to buy show geldings.

I dont have the time to show anymore. Like I said I have plenty of experience showing. But the BM would never make me enough ebs to make a profit. So while it may be viable for those who can hand enter, it wont work for me to show across like 8 accounts.

When this game started everyone, including the big stables funded their breeding by showing. That is what it is going to be. If you dont like the BM, the Easy Show Enter page works quite well and gives you more control.

I'm ending my AD program. 1 mil for 4 matches plus the 1 mil for a sven for my ablb mare, ontop of the ~600k for approval fees for my SD program, is no longer sustainable even with my showing. So, they're all going to be put up for brood/stud and I'll allow the program to die out completely. The same goes for my color programs. They're all being put for brood/stud. No more quests, no more captures, no more bidding on auctions, and definitely no more capture parties. I figure that my income will come from showing, selling SD geldings, whatever broods/studs get used, and selling hay.

Well yes but with the show cap it still wont exactly pay for everything. I did used to work my ass off showing... I almost solely play on my phone, and with whatever coding update - either on Apple interface or the nav code for buttons - it doesnt move smoothly like it used to. I guess I just wont have an income since I dont have the time to enter shows. But I guess I get to figure out how the heck to deal with it. Showing on multiple accounts really sucks. I have quite a few nice programs that will just die out because I do not have the time to enter thoudsands of shows on my accounts. I also want to make the point I am not arguing or negatively addressing this. The showing system needs a pretty solid revamp on how horses go into it because I would like to not compete against myself :/ when I was a large showing stable I used my FR foals, usually a couple hundred from my color ratings program, to fund rider fees and breeding fees at RO and pending what I was doing entry fees. But that first week sometimes I couldnt cover everything. and that was when i was hitting the cap or real close. and I wasnt even using multiple svens then.
